Hokay, power supply changed in file server. The fans in this thing are almost silent! So silent, in fact, I can hear the other cooling fans in it start to die...
Now, I get to make the decision: Replace them or disconnect them. I think I'll go with the latter and monitor the temp. Once I'm certain it won't go China Syndrome on me, the Shoutcast server will be moved to it rather than my main computer. This will conclude phase 1 of testing.
Also, I've been toying with the idea of changing the name of the station and making actual programming decisions (other than loading up all my songs and hitting shuffle). There has also been discussion of producing actual shows to broadcast. We'll see if that happens (tho I am in the planing stages of something called Quintessence (originally it was Interstitial Time but that name has been re-purposed) and I have already begun outlining scripts. It should be fun.
