Manic moves and drowsy dreams
Or living in the middle between the two extremes
(Hall & Oates. "Out of Touch." Big Bam Boom. RCA Records, 1984)
The majority of Never Comes the Day takes place in the mid 1980's. This made me start looking into music from that era today. While listening to Hall & Oats at work today, something happened that shows the difference between what happens to me in real life, and what happens to characters in a story.
I was abusing internet privileged at work today and listening to Hall & Oats when I had a memory of my own about an ex.
I remember one time, while discussing 80's music, she gave this wide eyed blank stare, raised her hands and, pointing her right index finger at her left wrist and tilting her head, said: "Time."
"That," she said, "is my John Oats impersonation."
Remembering this made me have a giggle fit.
See? Real memory, under 3,000 words!
And no one seems to have asperger's syndrome!
