Been a while since I've written anything. Well, anything I would post. I doubt you'd be interested in my photo kiosk trouble shooting guide. Of course, I'd probably be fired for breach of nondisclosure if I did...
Of late, my morning ritual has been getting up, putting on coffee, taking a shower, getting dressed, getting a cup of coffee and hitting the NHK World and The BLOG-TICK PHENOMENON sites. NHK World is the NHK's international service in 18 languages (Including English and Japanese, but not Welsh or Esperanto). Their coverage of the recent disaster and aftermath is not as ... sensational as some other agencies. I know someone who was worried about a huge radioactive cloud hitting the US because of articles they read (according to the article, two of the Fukushima reactors had gone into melt down).
The BLOG-TICK PHENOMENON is maintained by Cayce, a professional translator, a BUCK-TICK fan who translates articles as a hobby. The main feature of the site is an English translation of IMAI Hisashi's blog. It's interesting to read an article about a show they had done, how great it was and the birthday cake they got for SAKURAI, to be followed by another about a staff meeting regarding if they will finish the tour. This is the part that stuck with me:
Um... Yeah... Kinda hard to bitch without sounding like an asshole.
Then again, the release date BUCK-TICK's Tour 2010 go on the "Razzle Dazzle" was only moved to April 6th, so that's not too bad.
Too bad I already donated the money I set aside for it to the Red Cross...

There were at least 100 people from Tohoku who had tickets to the shows next weekend at Zepp Tokyo.With all of this that is going on, I find it kind of silly that the only impact all of this has had on me is that a couple CD and DVD releases have been delayed. The email that I received from where I ordered them explained that record companies were holding off on new releases until latter in April stating "By taking this measure, they hope all resources available for transportations may be used to help the efforts to reach out to people in the devastated regions."
